Requirements

- Unit Notes:Department: Respiratory Therapy * * * ND Resp Therapy License Required at time of submission * * * *Required Certifications: CRT or RRT (preferred), BLS, ACLS* *Preferred Certifications: PALS, NRP* NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT FIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- Please note, if a clinician for this facility has facial hair, they will be required to pass the either the Primary or Secondary fit test (3M Aura 1860 sm or reg/3M 1870+). If unable to pass - A Portacount test would be required, which CANNOT be completed on clinicians with facial hair & PAPR CANNOT be completed on site solely due to failing because of facial hair - contract would be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed. - # treatments per day: varies - Types of patients (adults, peds, and neonates?): all age ranges 0-100 - What areas do they cover (Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, Rehab, Sleep Lab, etc.): ER, inpatient and some outpatient - Experience or 'Must have' skills: independent - How many years of experience required?: 1 - Previous Travel experience required?: no - Job Duties (ie: Do RTs draw ABGs, perform EKGs, etc.): ABG's, EKG, all Resp duties - EMR: Meditech - Are RTs Required to be able to Intubate Independently or only to assist?: no - Hospitalist or Intensivist in house 24/7?: yes - Is there a Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist on each shift?: no, days M-F - Would the traveler ever be the only RT in-house?: yes - RT Equipment (Brand for Vents, Cpap, Bipap, High Flow): PB980, Hamilton C1, V60 bipap - Shifts & Scheduling Details: 12 hour shifts 7-7, rotates days and nights - Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?: no - Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend - Holiday Requirements: yes - Call or standby call requirement?: no - Scrub Color/Dress Code: black, but any color is fine - How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 - 2 weeks depending upon experience Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
