Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 4 years required; open to reviewing candidates with 2+ years of experience 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Aspiration, Pneumonia, Emergency Department cases 3. Certifications: RRT cert and BLS required; ACLS required; ACCS preferred; copies required with submissions 4. License: VA State License required; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission; will accept pending licenses but must have license in-hand Wednesday before start date; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted in unit description 7. Shifts/Call: Nights; 36 or 48 hours; every other weekend, every other holiday; will float between sections on occasion 8. RTO: Only guaranteed up to 40 hours per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at University of Virginia Health system; must be separated for one year and approved by UVA leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off between contracts 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50 mile travel restriction; locals not accepted for specified units including OR, PACU, Radiology departments 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if aware of background hits 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed during orientation; vary by specialty; recorded in Workday 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Nitric Oxide, mechanical ventilation equipment Critical: Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred. References required. Must communicate vacation plans between sign date and start date.
