Requirements
- Required certification: RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 4 years required; open to reviewing candidates with 2+ years of experience 2. Cases: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Aspiration, Pneumonia, Trauma Level II required, Trauma Level I preferred 3. Certifications: RRT cert and BLS required, ACLS and ACCS preferred; copies required with submission 4. License: VA State License required; RRT travelers must have license in-hand at time of submission; can submit with VA license pending if can obtain temp before start and must have another state license for temp eligibility; Nursys verification required for submittal 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Epic experience required unless otherwise noted in unit description 7. Shifts/Call: Nights, 36 or 48 hours, every other weekend, every other holiday 8. RTO: Up to 40 hours guaranteed per 13-week contract; no additional requests approved after acceptance 9. Returning Staff: Must inform Client Delivery Manager if previously employed at UVA Health system; perm staff and internal travelers must be separated for one year and approved by leadership; external travelers cannot work more than 365 days regardless of time off 10. Travel/Local: Select units have 50-mile travel restriction; this unit not specified as restricted 11. Background: Must inform Client Delivery Manager of any background hits 12. Modules: Up to 16 hours non-billable, completed during orientation, recorded in Workday; excess hours are billable 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
