- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years per position details; 3 years per VMS job requirements. Pediatric, Neonate, and Infant experience required. Level 1 Trauma experience preferred. 2. Cases: Bronchoscopy, Extubation, NICU, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics 3. Certifications: RRT certification, BLS, PALS, NRP required. Must be NBRC and SC RCP (South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider). Copies required at submission. 4. License: SC RRT license must be in hand at time of start. Pending license accepted at submission if proof of application provided or confirmation of SC walk-through process. Traveler will not be cleared until SC license is active. 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights, 7p-7:30a. Holiday rotation. Every other weekend required. No on-call required. Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Floating within scope depends on experience; no floating to sister facilities. 8. RTO: All RTO must be submitted at time of submission. RTO after submission will not be accepted. Auto-offer eligible if 7 days or fewer of non-holiday RTO. Any 7+ days or holiday RTO requires facility approval. One pre-approved RTO per VMS. Block schedule possible with prior approval, not guaranteed. 9. Returning Staff: Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from MUSC system for 1 year before returning as a traveler. Include former manager name during submission. 10. Travel/Local: 60-mile radius rule. Locals accepted on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than posted bill rate (lower BR). MUSC prioritizes non-local candidates first. 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable; average 4 hours; included in NBO hours; completed pre-start; reported by facility. All labs must be completed within 72 hours of signing if within 90 days of start, or at least 2 weeks prior to hard doc due date.
