- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: 16 cases per day across three IR rooms; IR procedures including stroke required; Conscious Sedation, Telemetry required; Coilings noted; PALS, Circulate, Vents preferred 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIH required; PALS preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (implied by standard); copies should be current 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic (charting system preferred); Pyxis and SBAR also in use 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10HR, 7a-5:30p, Monday-Friday; call required from end of shift until 0700; backup call mirrors same window; weekends are 24-hour call (Saturday and Sunday 0700-0700) on rotational basis; must be at hospital within 30 minutes; 8 call days in a 10-12 week period; possible holiday call 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees (permanent, PRN, or EP) must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name and dates employed; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: 50-mile radius; locals accepted at lower rate; current travel per diem clinicians not eligible for travel contracts and must choose one status — must be disclosed in submission 11.
