- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year experience required; 18 months experience required with some exceptions depending on unit 2. Cases: Extremities, Abdomen/GI, Spine/Pelvis, Chest/Thorax, ER, OR required 3. Certifications: BLS and ARRT required; must see job description for unit-specific requirements 4. License: IN license pending okay with 2-week ETA; must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: Mon-Thurs 0730-1530 with flexibility; call-in policy requires makeup shifts or contract extension 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO; more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract break policy applies after 12 months 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; accepted for Surgical Services, Allied, IU Clinics at lower rate; not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, ER 11.
