- Unit Notes:**All ppw due WEDNESDAY at NOON MST the week before start** *Permanent address must be at least 25 miles from the facility location Radiology: Xray Tech - General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.): BLS - "Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements (See General Radiology Cert Overview Below)": RTR - How many scanners/rooms does this department have?: 2, 5 portalbles - Will they have to float/cover any other areas?: Wil cover outpatient, inpatient and ER. - Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Ortho, chest, angi, portables in ICU & floor, fluoro cases, swallow studies, IVPs, HSTs, OR training is great for the OR - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1 year, prefer strong OR and Fluoro experience, prefer previous travel experience. - Fuji synapse/Epic experience prefered. - Average # of scans/studies per day: 110 (24 hours) - What EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use?: Epic, PACS, Fuji ris pacs - Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens): Philips x-ray, Fuji portable. - Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech?: Lead tech during day. One lead on night that covers all areas. - Do they use RRA's (Registered Radiology Assistants)?: No - Radiologist in-house 24/7?: 8-5 m-f (2) On call after hours for reading until midnight. After midnight they are sent to nightshift radiology. - "Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) *Would they ever be the only tech in-house within their department?*": Varied staggered shift starts- weekday 8 and 10s., weekend 12 and 13s. 7 on 7 off (three 12s, 4-10s- starts Thursday.) FLEXIBILITY IS KEY!!! Expectation is to be in the area and ready to go by 7. - Weekend Requirements: Yes, usually scheduled for this or on rotation - Holiday Requirements: Yes, will usually be scheduled to cover perm staff - Call or Standby requirement? Response time?: No - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided?: Hunter Green scrubs, plain black jacket allowed, white, grey, black or hunter green undershirt - Department specific orientation: 1-2 weeks with a preceptor - Additional Notes: Go getter, hard worker that adds to the positive culture. Eyes up greeting everyone (phones put away while working). Excellent patient experience. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY!
