Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year of experience required 2. Cases: Burn patients with 0-100% TBSA burns; physical therapy needs including pain management, surgical dressings, mobility, and positioning to prevent contractures and scarring; up to 8 patients per day; outpatient PT evals if time allows 3. Certifications: BLS required 4. License: Valid LA License or Compact License due at time of submission; cannot accept pending 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Must work Saturday and Sunday in the Burn Unit; can pick up 3 other shifts Monday-Friday; every weekend and 1 weekday will vary; must be able to float in-patient; facility will accept PT or OT 8. RTO: Not specified 9. Returning Staff: Perm staff must leave the health system for 1 year before eligible to travel 10. Travel/Local: Locals (anyone within 75 miles) accepted at local rate regardless of specialty 11. Background: Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission along with a personal statement 12. Modules: Non-billable; Allied modules range from 2-4 hours; completed pre-start; vary by specialty; recorded by facility education department 13. Travel Experience: First-time travelers accepted 14. Scrubs: Provided by facility 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - No Exemptions 16. Special Equipment: Hoyer lift; private gym within the burn center with therapy equipment Critical: Hardtop deadline is Wednesday prior to a Monday start date. Travelers can only submit to 1 campus at a time. At least two recent manager references required. COVID-19 Vaccine required (Medical/Religious Exemptions only). Trauma Level I experience preferred.
