Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years liver transplant experience required; 18 months general experience required; must have strong transplant experience within last 2 years 2. Cases: Liver transplant (HARD STOP), large open belly cases, general, urology, thoracic, gyn, plastics, Whipple, liver resection, free flap 3. Certifications: BCLS and NBSTSA required; must see job description for unit-specific requirements 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 3 twelve-hour shifts 7a-7:30p; 40-60 hours call in 6-week schedule; holidays required; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; anything more requires facility approval 9. Returning Staff: Any permanent or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Indiana residents considered local; surgical services accept locals at lower in-state rate; out-of-state residents require 3-month break, in-state require 6-month break for eligibility reset 11. Background: Must be noted prior to submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: 40 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15.
