Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 18 months experience required for most positions 2. Cases: Level 1 Trauma Center experience required; Vascular, Thoracic surgery cases including Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atherectomy, Atrial Septal defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Heart & Lung Transplant, Valve Replacement, Aortic Dissection 3. Certifications: BCLS and NBSTSA required 4. License: Must be in hand prior to start date; temporary licenses obtainable once permanent license applications submitted 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: No specific charting required for IU health positions; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12's, 6:30-19:00, Fri-Sun; 90-120 hours call in 6 week schedule 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 days non-holiday RTO or less; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Any PERM or PRN employee must be away 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; surgical services accept locals at lower rate; floating 100% required 11. Background: Background policy noted prior to submission to seek approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Required; first time travelers accepted if they have Level 1 Trauma experience 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16.
