- Unit Notes:- Hiring Process: Profile Review: Profile Review with MedSol Clinical, Interview with Unit manager at facility - Radius:: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote Department: OT - SMC # of patients treated per day The daily caseload consists of 8 to 10 patients. General Certification Requirements (BLS, etc.) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a current Colorado Occupational Therapy license are required. Other Certs Required for all OT: There are no additional requirements. Common diagnosis / Types of patients The scope of work includes Acute Medical, Surgical, and Orthopedic Inpatient care. Cases in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) include Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA)/strokes, general neuropathy, and general weakness. Acute Inpatient, Acute Rehab, Skilled, Outpatient? Setting: Acute Inpatient care. What areas are they required to cover? The patient population primarily consists of Medical/Surgical, Intermediate Care (IMC), and ICU patients. Experience or 'Must have' skills & common job duties Clinicians are expected to work independently to conduct evaluations and facilitate early mobilization. Responsibilities include determining patients' mobility status and assessing safety for discharge to home or the necessity for transfer to a rehabilitation unit. OT Manager/Supervisor Management: Michael Cruz, Manager/Supervisor; Joseph Sosa. Rehab Aides: COTA's A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is available on staff. Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) The position utilizes block scheduling with some inherent flexibility. Weekend Requirements Weekend commitment: Every other weekend. Holiday Requirements The schedule requires working every other weekend. Scrub Color/Dress Code There is no mandatory scrub color assigned for this role. Department specific orientation Orientation is provided and consists of three shifts. Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Inpatient Acute Division:Allied Shift Notes:8a-630p, EOW Required Certifications:BLS (AHA)
