- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: Wound care focused; skills include mechanical debridement, wound vac therapy, sharp debridement, ostomy management, burns (1st-4th degree), peripheral arterial ulcer management, tunneling, and various wound care modalities 3. Certifications: ACLS required; WCC preferred; WOCN required; certifications do not need copies — must be clearly listed on profile; PICU, PEDS, and RRT submittals must include copy of NRP cert or will be rejected 4. License: Compact accepted at time of submittal; must have AK license prior to starting for Acute specialties 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner (documentation system on unit); Epic preferred per compliance notes 7. Shifts/Call: Days shift; call-off rule applies — up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment may be cancelled without pay; guaranteed hours 36-40 per week depending on shift length 8. RTO: Must be listed on profile 9. Returning Staff: Must be gone 2 years before returning as a traveler 10. Travel/Local: Minimum 100-mile radius required; locals not accepted 11. Background: Case-by-case approval; must be noted prior to submission 12. Modules: Billable; average 4-5 hours; completed onsite during orientation and annually; recorded via HealthStream 13.
