- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years total required; must include at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience (hard stop per manager); combo of 1 year MS and 1 year MS/Tele, Tele, or PCU accepted 2. Cases: Primary neuroscience unit; Stroke, Seizures, Subdural Hematomas, SAH, ICH, Brain Tumors, Epilepsy, Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Subdural Hematomas, Neurosurgery patients 3. Certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred but not required; NIH required; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required; PYXIS and SBAR also used 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour nights; 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; contracts 13-26 weeks; every other weekend required; floating required to any MS/Tele areas including COVID care units; block scheduling not guaranteed; 36-hour orientation 8. RTO: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract; call-offs or additional RTO could result in cancel and DNR; missed shifts must be made up same week or at end of contract 9.
