Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required 2. Cases: Med surg patients (no longer accept cardiac telemetry patients) 3. Certifications: BCLS required; ACLS, NIH preferred; must pass EKG Testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience required (DO NOT SCREEN without EPIC experience) 7. Shifts/Call: 12HR DAYS 06:45-19:15; floating required as needed; every other weekend required 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission; facility approval needed 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates (50 miles) lower rate applies; unit will accept 1st time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hrs of NBO; Acute Care 8-10 hours, Non-Acute 4-5 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
