- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital; first-time travelers not accepted unless experience is at a Level I Academic Medical Center 2. Cases: Drips required on all floors; required drips include Nitro, Heparin, and Insulin (non-DKA); may encounter Amiodarone, Cardizem, Argatroban, Bivalirudin, Lasix; must screen and call out if no drip experience 3. Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred 4. License: Pending license accepted, but if not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48-hour weekly options; 13 or 26-week contract options; travelers are first to float and must be prepared to float frequently; may float to Bellevue Medical Center campus (16 minutes away); float required every shift; patient ratios: 5 days, 6 nights 8. RTO: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted; must be submitted with application; additional requests after confirmation at manager discretion; travelers must work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving: W/Th/F; Christmas: 24/25/26; New Years: 31/1/2) 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility 11. Background: Not specified 12. Pre-Start Modules: 24 orientation hours noted 13. Travel Experience: Required 14. Scrubs: Mandatory — RNs must wear Steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on the back; information on obtaining branded scrubs provided upon confirmation; facility also sells gray T-shirts in their company store 15. Special Equipment: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Transportation available; drip management required as noted above Critical: Travelers may be assigned to either Nebraska Medical Center or Bellevue Medical Center based on experience. If traveler has a preferred unit, must call it out at time of submission. Facility is 100% nicotine free. COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only). Weekend requirement: 4 shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period. Trauma Level I experience required. Preferred unit preference must be noted at time of submission.
