- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must have 2 years of experience in a large, urban hospital. First timers not accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years at a Level I Academic Medical Center). Travel experience required. 2. Cases: Trauma medical/surgical; patients admitted from the emergency department, transferred from ICU, or from surgical/procedural services. Hemodynamically and medically stable trauma patients. Ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, total joint replacement, skin grafts, renal failure, pre/post hemodialysis management also noted. 3. Certifications: BLS required; CPI required. Must be AHA or American Red Cross (not explicitly stated in notes). 4. License: Pending license accepted; however, if license is not in hand at time of submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out. 5. Education: Not specified. 6.
