- Unit Notes:Department: Med Surg RN 2E *Certifications Required: BLS* **Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by $8.00/hour.** - # Beds: 15. - Nurse:Patient Ratios: 0700-1900 1:4-5 1900-0730 1:5-6. - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Post-Surgical: Ortho., Urology, GYN/ONC, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Plastics, GI. Acute Medical can also be admitted to the department with short anticipated length of stay. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: 1-2 years acute care nursing experience. - Are RN's required to titrate drips: Yes. - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin. Occasionally nitro, Cardizem, insulin - Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele. Present. Strips are run and monitored by remote technicians. Tele. System is GE. - Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse on all shifts takes assignment. There is a house supervisor on all shifts. - Are there Nurse Aides on this unit/Ratios: Nursing Asisstants present. 0630-1900 1:8-12. RN's take a lower ratio than traditional on NOC's without a nursing assistant. - RT/Equipment: No acute. CPAP, BIPAP, High Flow Oxygen Therapy. NO VENTS. RT support is present. - Shifts & Scheduling: RN 0700-1930, 1100-2330, 2300-0700 CNA 0630-1900,1830-0700 No self scheduling, block scheduling to the best of our ability dependent on staffing. - Weekend Requirements: Every Other Weekend. - Holiday Requirements: Every Other Holiday. - Is there Call or a Standby requirement?: No. - Floating Requirements?: Float required to other adult medical/surgical nursing units. - Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: Any color, clean & professional. - Unit/Department Specific Orientation: 1 day computer training, 1-2 precepted floor orientation based on skills. *MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.* All clinicians must clock in and out at facility Date Entered On: 11/12/2025 Cancellation Policy:Client may cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:2 Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:1900 to 0730.
