Requirements

- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; must meet experience requirements within the 3 most recent years with at least 1 year of CURRENT specialty experience for clinical pass 2. Cases: Oncology experience preferred but not required; cares for all solid tumor cancers including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, esophageal cancers and antineoplastic chemotherapy encounters 3. Certifications: BLS required; ONS Chemo preferred 4. License: Valid compact or state license required in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: Self-schedule requests; floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units; variable weekend shifts based on unit needs 8. RTO: Required with submission, must be built into contract; one pre-approved time off 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible after 6 months away; current employees ineligible for traveler positions at any Ohio State University hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; previous travel experience preferred 11. Background: Strict compliance deadline Tuesday prior to start; urgent Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately after contract signing 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: Preferred 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - medical exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: B450 monitors GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds Critical: 72-hour orientation with first week Mon-Fri dayshift, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor. Two professional references required with at least one from formal leadership. Skills include telemetry interpretation/monitoring, accessing/managing ports, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line blood draw, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, IV management, tracheostomy care.
