Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Step-Down Unit (SDU)
Shift: Nights / 7p-7a, 12×3, 36 hrs per week, Weekends and Holidays
Length: 8 weeks
Requirements:
- CA License
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent Progressive Care nursing experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population
- AHA BLS
- MAB or CPI
Other Details:
- LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.
- Will provide an intermediate level of care for patients who are not stable enough for a general medical-surgical floor but do not require the full intensity of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Patients commonly include those recovering from major surgeries, but not limited to, serious medical conditions such as renal failure requiring dialysis and/or kidney transplant, oncology therapy, or those transitioning out of the ICU after stabilization.
- Will provide continuous cardiac monitoring, frequent assessment of patient status, administration of medications and IV therapies, wound care, and pain management
