- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; candidates with less than 2 years must be screened out 2. Cases: Telemetry experience required; competency with drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone), bi-pap/CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC); general surgery, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, DM, cellulitis, chest pain, A-Fib patient population 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required 4. License: MI State license required; pending license not accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC experience required; unit also uses Pyxis and SBAR 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights (1900-0730); 2 weekends per month required (Fri and Sat nights considered the weekend for night shift); no call, no floating; guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 or 48 hours for 4x12 8. RTO: Must be submitted at time of profile; Memorial Day Weekend (5/26-5/29) and Independence Day Week (6/30-7/6) will not be approved 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. On days with no SCU patients, nurses are expected to take general med/surg telemetry patients.
