- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; first-time travelers with PCU experience and 1:3-4 ratios will be considered 2. Cases: Trach and ventilator management required at 1:3 ratio; non-titrated cardiac drip management required (Amiodarone, Milrinone, Lasix, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine); Insulin 3:1 preferred (not required); patient diagnoses include Sepsis, Stroke, DKA, Respiratory Failure, COPD, PNA, NSTEMI, ETOH Withdrawal, CHF, Acute on Chronic Renal Failure, Cirrhosis 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH (NIHSS) required; AHA only; copies required at time of submittal 4. License: Valid CA RN License required at time of submission; candidates with license hits accepted on a case-by-case basis — must disclose at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Meditech experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: Minimum 2 weekends per month (could be more); float within areas of competency (Med/Surg, Tele, OBS); 24-hour orientation; SBAR communication; Omnicell med system 8. RTO: Single set of up to 7 consecutive days will be considered; always requires facility approval; one pre-approved time off per contract 9. Returning Staff: If previous perm traveler, must have 1-year gap and needs facility approval 10. Travel/Local: No locals within 50 miles; travelers within 50 miles not accepted 11. Background: Candidates with background hits accepted on a case-by-case basis; facility must be informed of any hits at submission 12. Modules: Not required 13. Travel Experience: Not required; first-time travelers considered 14. Scrubs: Navy scrubs required; not provided by the hospital 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required — Medical/Religious Exemptions and Declinations Allowed; COVID-19 Vaccine also required with Booster (Medical/Religious Exemptions only) 16. Special Equipment: Ventilators, HFNC, BiPAP Critical: Labs must be completed within 24 hours of signing contract. Two supervisor references preferred. Travel pairs accepted. Can submit to more than one position — must send all positions applied to during submission.
