- Unit Notes:* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * * Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. **Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.** **Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract **CHEMO CERT PREFERRED, NOT REQ Unit Information Unit Type: PCU Oncology (5 North) Primary Patient Population: Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients Number of Beds: 18 Experience Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience required yes First-time travelers are accepted?? yes Is both Oncology and PCU experience required, or is strong PCU experience without Oncology experience acceptable? oncology preferred Charge nurse experience required? Respiratory Equipment Could you let me know what respiratory equipment travelers commonly encounter on this unit (high-flow, BiPAP, ventilators, etc.)? high flow Equipment EMR: Epic IV Pumps: Alaris Lyko lifts available in even-numbered rooms with additional lift equipment available Support Staff Nursing Assistants Charge Nurse PT/OT RN Case Manager Social Worker Educator Dietitian Patient Experience Hourly rounding and bedside shift report is a key patient experience focus.
