- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of prior experience required (must have 2 years exp in large, urban hospital) 2. Cases: Liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal transplant patients; intestinal rehabilitation patients; medical surgical/telemetry and progressive care; internal med patients; trauma patients (overflow) 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CPI and NIH preferred 4. License: Nebraska RN License required; pending license accepted but if not in hand at submission, traveler will be booked six weeks out 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: EPIC charting experience required 7. Shifts/Call: 36 or 48hr option; 13 or 26 week contract option; 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period; patient ratios 1:5 days/1:6 nights (can be 1:7 nights in rare cases) 8. RTO: Up to two weeks permitted; must be submitted with application; no RTO during first week of orientation; RTO blackout dates 6/11/26 - 6/22/26 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals NOT accepted; candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility 11. Background: Do not submit for Radiology or Respiratory with license hits 12. Modules: Not specified 13. Travel Experience: First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2 years experience at Level I Academic Medical Center) 14. Scrubs: Mandatory steele gray scrubs with Nebraska Medicine logo printed on back 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16. Special Equipment: Overhead lift equipment, video monitoring, paramedic rovers; drip experience required (Nitro, Heparin, Insulin) Critical: 100% nicotine free facility. Travelers first to float frequently. Holiday requirement: must work 2/3 major holidays. Must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting offer.
