- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required; must have at least 1 year of PCU experience within the past 2 years documented on work history (HARD STOP) 2. Cases: CVA, intracranial bleeds, aneurysms, craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, seizure disorders, pre/post neurosurgery, substance withdrawal, post TPA care, neuro stepdown 3. Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS required 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 36/36 schedule; no call; rotating weekends required; 1:5 PCU ratio; 1:7 when floated to Med/Surg; floating required; general orientation begins Sundays (online CBLs); 24 hours orientation (16 hours nonbillable); hospital may cancel/call off one shift biweekly without financial penalty due to census 8.
