Required skills include IV starts, monitoring, labs, medication administration, patient education, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management, PCA, PICC line management, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), titration of insulin drips, wound care/wound vac, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams.
