- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required for submission 2. Cases: Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry; neurological and medical intermediate patients including aneurysms, craniotomy, CVA, intracranial bleeds, lumbar drains, post TPA care, pre/post neurosurgery, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, substance withdrawal; Neuro experience specifically requested — if limited, must be screened and called out in summary note 3. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required; CCRN, TNCC, and CPI preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required; Pyxis and SBAR also used on unit 7. Shifts/Call: 12-hour days, 06:45-19:15; 36 and 48-hour weeks can be offered; 13-26 week contracts accepted; no call requirement; float to other intermediate areas (6A, 5A PCTU, 5C Cardiac Intermediate) and critical care; minimum 3 weekend shifts every six weeks required 8. RTO: RTO after booking is NOT allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; call-offs or additional RTO could result in Cancel and DNR; one pre-approved time off noted 9.
