- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg, Telemetry (remote), and Step-Down (PCU) level experience preferred 2. Cases: Wide variety of diagnoses; focus on ED decompression and enhanced throughput; Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit handling Admission Assessments, Medication Reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; additional certifications preferred but not required 4. License: Not specified 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner 7. Shifts/Call: Every other weekend; no call; assist with holidays; patient ratios 1:5 Step-Down/1:6 MedSurg (1:5 if combined) day and night 8.
