Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Surgical First Assist

Shift: Days, 6a-2:30p, 8×5, 40hrs per week, Mon-Fri, Call every other night and every other weekend

Duration: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• KY RN License
• 2 years experience
• 2+ years previous nursing experience as First Assist preferred
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• BLS
• ACLS
• First Assist RN Certification, either CNOR or RNFA

Other Details:

• Surgical Services / OR
• Assists the surgical team in preparing for cases and cleaning the room after procedures; sets up surgical cases with appropriate equipment and supplies
• Performs needle and instrument counts per policy; restocks OR supplies as needed
• Optimizes room turnaround time
• Demonstrates aseptic technique and knowledge of surgical pharmacology and anesthesia agent adjuncts
• Demonstrates awareness of Surgical Services policies and AORN standards of care
