- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 1 year required for submission 2. Cases: Adult psychiatric and geriatric population (18+); co-morbid medical conditions requiring med-surg approach; diagnoses include dementia, depression, Parkinson's Disease, bipolar disorder, anxiety; some patients require pre-op prep for ECT 3. Certifications: BLS and CPI required; certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted; ACLS required for Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only (not applicable for Behavioral Health RNs) 4. License: MO license — submit without license OK, requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state); IL license must be in hand at time of submittal; Compact — must match permanent residence, otherwise submit for update and confirm ETA 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 Nights; no on-call required; every other weekend required; will work as charge as needed; no block scheduling; floats within service line to all BH units 8. RTO: Maximum 7 days; 7+ days requires manager approval, including holiday RTO; no new RTO after submission; no RTO allowed the first week of assignment; only one pre-approved RTO 9. Returning Staff: 18-month tenure with a 3-month break in service required; permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler; if contract is canceled at contractor's discretion, must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity 10. Travel/Local: No locals accepted within 75-mile radius; exceptions only for Patient Care Technicians, CNAs, and Medical Assistants 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr; completed pre-start via WorkRamp and uploaded to compliance report; required for RNs and LVS; must be started within 1 week of signed contract and completed 2 Fridays prior to start date; do not differ per specialty; compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before the initial start date 13. Guaranteed hours are 3 shifts per 13 weeks; canceled shifts must match the regular shift length assigned. BJC does not permit contractors to sign and then cancel a contract to accept another BJC assignment.
