Requirements
- Required certification: Psychiatric
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of psych required; 1 year M/S experience in last 5 years required (cannot be floating) 2. Cases: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics; involuntary patients; med-psych 3. Certifications: BLS required; CPI preferred (offered on-site); must be in-hand at submission 4. License: Must have license in hand to submit 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 1 weekend shift per week required; block scheduling not allowed for nursing 8. RTO: Blackout dates 7/3-6, 9/4-7 9. Returning Staff: Behavioral Health Department does not allow return travelers if they have already traveled a year at Valleywise regardless of separation time 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates are 75 miles or less; lower rate for locals; must float to 3 facilities within 24 miles 11. Background: Must disclose any background hits/license hits at time of submission 12. Modules: Billable up to 8 hours; completed onsite or at home pre-start and annually 13. Travel Experience: First-timers okay from like facility 14. Scrubs: Not mentioned 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: ECT in unit Critical: Must perform charge role for all areas including med-psych. Must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting offer. Patient ratio 1:12 with tech assistance. Orientation is 2 weeks, starts Tuesday, days only.
