Patients typically range in age from 6-17 years old and are medically stable. There are two sides to the unit, one for the children, and one for the adolescents. The children are usually having dysregulation/behavior issues, and the adolescents are often admitted for acute suicidal ideation or attempt. Special Procedures/Unit Details : *** DO NOT PASS THE CLINICAN IF THEY ARE MISSING THE REQUIRED SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE. OK TO SCREEN IF IT IS A STRONG CANDIDATE. *** The only certifications needed are BLS for the Healthcare Provider and Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB), which is offered at Providence for all caregivers. Special Equipment : Hover Jack and Humane Wrap: When patients need to be transported to the secure room, we use a Humane Wrap, which wraps around the patient and has Velcro to keep it in place. The Hover Jack is a large mattress that fills with air and elevates the patient. This makes it easy for staff to pull the mattress into the secure room. #Tier3 Travel Compliance SSN DOB RTO - 6 days total or 3 consecutive days can be auto-approved . Anything more, traveler will sign contract with pending RTO. *Anything more than 6 Days will potentially delay your offer while we run approval by the client. To minimize turn around please limit total RTO requests. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD) MUST request all RTO / specific scheduling requests up-front during submittal.
