Requirements
- Required certification: Psychiatric
- 1+ years of experience
- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience required 2. Cases: Behavioral Health/Psych RN for adults with anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma-and stressor-related disorders 3. Certifications: BCLS required, CPI and First Aid (can be obtained during orientation); AHA certifications required 4. License: WV or Compact license required; pending license acceptable 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Avatar system 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights 7pm-7:30am, weekdays, every other weekend 8. RTO: Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of the 3 major holidays; RTO must be included at time of submittal 9. Returning Staff: Permanent employees cannot return as travelers; travelers may only work contracts for up to 1 year 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; first time travelers accepted 11. Background: Previous probationary actions on license considered case-by-case basis 12. Modules: 8 hours non-billable modules must be completed prior to start; included in 16hrs NBO; modules must be completed before orientation or candidate will be turned away 13. Travel Experience: Not required 14. Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided (Navy or Royal Blue) 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required with medical/religious exemptions only 16. Special Equipment: Mechanical restraints Critical: Fingerprints must be completed in West Virginia 7-10 business days prior to start. DHHR Release Form required within 48 hours of signing. Minimum 3 manager/charge references within past 2 years required. Facility strict on attendance policy.
