Job Description
Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a PRN – Behavioral Health
Shift: Nights / 7p-7:30a, 12×1, 12hrs per week
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- Active NJ or Compact license
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Behavioral Health acute care experience
- Travel Experience Required
- BLS; ITTC- De-escalation Training
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Teaching Hospital Experience: Preferred
- Previous Charge Experience: Preferred
Other Details:
- Equipment: Hoyer Lift; Crash Cart
- Ratios: Patient Ratio: 1:3-4+ for days; 1:5+ for nights
- Patient Ratio Experience: 1:1:7
- Floating: Float to CC3 (inpatient BH unit) or Emergency Screening (PESS); Candidates must float within their skillset without exception. Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity and staffing
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Scheduling & Commitment: Clinicians must be fully committed to working a minimum of (4) shifts per month and may pick up no more than (2) shifts per week.
• Must be dedicated to getting into the lab and completing compliance asap
• Cancellation Policy: Three (3) last-minute shift cancellations, defined as cancellations within 24–48 hours of the scheduled shift will lead to facility review and may result in a final warning
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Clinicians may work at only one RWJBH site and must be submitted exclusively to the site where they are fully committed to work; once submitted and approved, a site-specific requisition ID will be assigned, and location changes will not be permitted thereafter.
• (2) Clinical Leadership references from assignments within the last 2 years (Charge nurse not accepted).
• Submission review turnaround time could take 1-2 weeks.
SEPARATION RULES

• Prior RWJBH staff must be separated for a minimum of one (1) year.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Behavioral Health acute care experience
REQUIRED LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Active NJ or Compact license is required at time of submission
• Required Certifications: BLS; ITTC- De-escalation Training (Refer to submittal instructions)

• Behavioral Health & Cognitive Disorders: Anxiety disorders; Bipolar disorders; Depressive disorders; Schizophrenia/schizoaffective; Personality disorders; Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD); Gender dysphoria; Neurocognitive disorders; Trauma-and Stressor-Related Disorders; Post-traumatic stress disorder; Profound impulse control issues; Severe intellectual disabilities; Degenerative disorders (Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s); Substance-Related & Addictive Disorders; Other mental disorders; Severely mentally ill
• Clinical Care & Procedures: Colostomy/ileostomy management/care; Foley catheter insertion/management; Straight catheter insertion; Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG; Emergency care; Cardiac Arrest/CPR; Wound care management; Management of pre and post ECT patients
• Equipment: Hoyer Lift; Crash Cart
