Travel Nurse (RN) Postpartum (Mother-Baby) Spokane, WA

$2,113 to $2,363 weekly

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Postpartum/Mother Baby Unit

Shift: Nights, 7p-7:30a, 12×3, 36hrs per week

Length: 22 weeks

Weekend rotation: Yes, every other or every third

Requirements:

• WA license
• At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• 1 year of Mother-Baby/Postpartum experience
• Skills required: Breastfeeding assistance, Newborn care, including vital signs, thermoregulation, managing hypoglycemia, bilirubin levels, and NAS (Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome) babies and Ability to independently care for 3-4 couplets, provide discharge teaching, vaccinate neonates, and perform thorough assessments and reassessments for both mothers and babies. Must also be able to perform fundal checks on postpartum patients
• BLS & NRP
• Newborn lab and phlebotomy skills and IV skills (adult) are preferred, as well as experience with PKU testing
• EMR: EPIC preferred
• EFM preferred

Other Details:

• Will accept a first-time traveler
• Patient Types: Post partum and low risk ante-partum
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 Antepartum or couplets
• Floating: L&D and NICU, we are a closed pod to the birth center, voluntarily you can float to med surg to sit though
• Scrub Color: any color scrubs, for NICU we wear hospital scrubs
