- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; first-timers not accepted; charge nurse experience preferred (listed as required in unit details); Level 1 & 2 nursery setting experience required; must be comfortable with delivery to discharge 2. Cases: Level I well newborns post delivery, Level II newborns, stabilization and transfer of Level III babies, some readmits up to 28 days; experience with phototherapy, antibiotics, opioid withdrawal, and bubble CPAP required 3. Certifications: BLS and NRP required; STABLE highly preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross (not explicitly stated in these notes) 4.
