- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum postpartum experience required 2. Cases: Postpartum patients (vaginal delivery, C/S delivery), postpartum readmits (wound infection, preeclampsia), healthy newborns, NAS infants 3. Certifications: BLS/IV certification required, NRP required; IV start skills required 4. License: Valid compact or state license required in hand at time of submission 5. Education: Must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program 6. EMR: EPIC experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Weekend coverage required; patient ratios 3-4 dyads (6-8 pts) for days, nights, and weekends; may float to MSC and different units within OSU organization 8. RTO: Two pre-approved time off periods; RTO required with submission and must be built into contract 9. Returning Staff: Former employees eligible for travel assignment once away from facility for 6 months or more; current employees ineligible as travelers at any OSU hospital location 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at same rate; labor & delivery experience required 11. Background: Strict compliance deadline Tuesday prior to start; urgent Ohio fingerprinting process required immediately after contract signing 12. Modules: 36 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel nursing experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Telemetry interpretation required; RN must pass EKG exam prior to start Critical: Two professional references required (1 must be manager/director, charge RN acceptable for 2nd).
