- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience as staff nurse required; 1 year Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as staff nurse required; 3-4 contracts in a dedicated pediatric CICU required; experience with congenital heart disease and post-operative CHD management required; experience with arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic lines required. Preferred: 2+ years Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience; at least 1 year with neonatal cardiac patients (pre-op and post-op); 2+ years pediatric cardiac experience in step down or cardiology floor. 2. Cases: Congenital heart disease, post-operative cardiac management, central line and arterial line placement, conscious sedation, intubation/extubation, post-op recovery of general and cardiac procedures, sternal closures, codes, ECMO cannulation and decannulation, CRRT, manual PD. 3. Certifications: PALS, BLS, and ACLS required. 4. License: Not specified. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Meditech. 7.
