- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years of experience in the specialty required; specifically 2 years PICU experience with exposure to CICU/CVPICU 2. Cases: PICU cases required; exposure to CICU (CVPICU) preferred; patient age groups include Adolescents, Infants, and Pediatrics 3. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS required 4. License: Valid compact licenses accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Not specified 7. Shifts/Call: Rotating shifts (days and nights depending on need); float required — may float down as needed and to CICU (CVPICU); travelers are first to float when census drops and are notified at the start of the shift; ratios are 1:1 or 1:2; EOW required; travelers expected to work a minimum of 2 holidays 8. RTO: RTO must be submitted at time of submission or will not be honored; maximum 5 days; no block scheduling unless weekends only (Fri-Sun); blocked schedules can be accommodated if traveler agrees to work all weekends 9.
