- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; MUST HAVE CHARGE EXPERIENCE (charge experience listed as preferred in job requirements) 2. Cases: PICU and Peds assignments; may include orienting PICU nurses; patient diagnoses include general surgery/medical, RSV, Flu, SI/HI, Epilepsy, TBI; skills required include ventilator management, ICP monitoring, EVD, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tube management, procedural sedation, and extensive pediatric-specific skills 3. Certifications: BCLS and PALS required; copies should be confirmed at submission 4. License: AK license required; compact license accepted at time of submittal with proof of full AK license application; AK BON takes 10-12 weeks to process; traveler must apply for AK license immediately after signing 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: No on-call required; every other weekend required; block scheduling available and unit does block; 12-hour shifts; guaranteed up to 36 hours (OR staff guaranteed 40 hours); float within scope to NICU and Peds possible 8.
