- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years required; general experience 18 months if not listed otherwise 2. Cases: Pre/Post OP procedures including ambulatory/outpatient, spinal surgeries, orthopedic procedures, conscious sedation, nerve blocks 3. Certifications: ACLS and BLS required; must be AHA or Red Cross only - RQI cards not accepted 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience is position specific; charting system experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8 Days 0645-1515; floating required within hospital or to affiliate hospitals 8. RTO: Auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO; anything more requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted for all units except OR RN - must be 50 miles or more from facility for OR specialty 11. Background: Must note any background check hits upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours; completed pre-start, renewed annually; strict deadlines with push if not completed by 4PM CST on Day 1 13. Travel Experience: First-timers accepted 14. Scrubs: Not specified 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Arthrex arthroscopy, Hana Table for hips, Jackson Table for spine, Neptune fluid and smoke evacuation Critical: Patient ratio 1:1 during days; 25 average daily census; compliance must be completed within 1 week of signing contract; virtual at-home first day.
