- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required; 2 years PACU in Level I Trauma required (hard stop); ICU/critical care required; first-time travelers accepted 2. Cases: Post cardiac surgery, lobectomy, chest trauma, ex-lap and splenectomy, and trauma patients required. Surgical recovery includes Neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant. Does NOT recover open heart surgeries or liver transplants 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; CCRN and TNCC preferred; must be AHA or American Red Cross 4. License: Pending license accepted 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic required 7. Shifts/Call: 2200-0830, 4x10, Monday through Thursday nights; no weekends, no holidays, no call; night shift nurses expected to pre-op patients 0530-0730 when no PACU patients; floats only to PACU or PreOp units; block schedule not available; guaranteed 3 shifts per 13 weeks 8. RTO: No more than 7 days; no holidays approved 9. Returning Staff: Not specified 10. Travel/Local: Locals not accepted; home address must be at least 75 miles from facility 11.
