- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years required; first-timers not accepted. Level I trauma experience required. General OR and trauma experience required. 2. Cases: Bariatric (laparoscopic assisted cases); General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, laparoscopic assisted procedures, mastectomy, thyroidectomy partial/total, Whipple); Neurology (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, lumbar fusion); Orthopedic (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release, closed/open reduction of fractures); Plastic Surgery (free flap microvascular); Transplant (organ donation); Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy); Trauma (amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, MVA multiple injuries). All service lines except CV. 3. Certifications: BLS required; CNOR preferred. Must be AHA or American Red Cross not explicitly stated. 4. License: Active IL license in hand or in application process required at time of submission. 5. Education: Not specified. 6. EMR: Cerner preferred. 7. Shifts/Call: 4x10s, 0845-1915. On-call required approximately 1 per week. 1 weekend shift per month required. Floating within skill set may occur rarely. 8. RTO: All requested time off must be reviewed and approved by manager.
