- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 3 years of OR experience required; must be able to circulate AND scrub, particularly in Ortho-Joints, Ortho, ENT, Ophthalmology; experience in General, Endo/Lap, Gyn, Plastics, Podiatry Surgery; strong ortho and scrubbing experience required; teaching hospital experience required 2. Cases: Scrub Ortho; Ortho (Joints, Trauma, Foot and Ankle, Hand and Wrist), Plastics, D&E, GYN, ENT; airway management and aseptic technique required; extensive list of surgical skills including total joint replacement, spinal fusion, laparoscopic/gynecological procedures, ENT, plastics, and more 3. Certifications: AHA BLS and ACLS required; copies required at submission; BSN required for all RN positions 4. License: Current CA RN license required and must be in hand at time of submission 5. Education: BSN required 6. EMR: Epic; refer to unit details on whether required or preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 10-hour day shifts; ability to float to other UCSF facilities within 75+ mile radius at any time during assignment 8. RTO: All RTO must be disclosed at time of submittal; requires manager approval at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract; RTO cannot be within the first two weeks of start 9. Returning Staff: Any prior employment with any University of California medical facility or acquired facilities must be included in employment history with dates worked, units worked, and manager name(s) for rehire eligibility check with HR 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted at the same rates as travel; floating may occur within 75+ mile radius 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Non-billable and included in NBO hours; range from 1 to 24 hours depending on unit/specialty/position; anything over 24 hours is billable; completed pre-start and annually 13.
