- Unit Notes:**Manager will conduct second interview prior to offering (first time staffing Peds OR RN traveler at SFMC) OSF ITEMS OF NOTE: - Local Rate: Applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles (-$25 to regular and OT bill rates) - OSF Call Off Policy: Equivalent of 12 hours every 13 weeks with no penalty or need to pay for the shift - Non-billable Orientation Hours: 12 hours, guaranteed hours will not apply during orientation REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION: - Last four (4) digits of clinician's SSN - Clinician's middle initial - Requested time off - Active IL license or confirmation that application process has been initiated - Your candidate understands OSF is a Drug-Free Campus and they must produce a negative drug screen for all panels Department: OR - Peds | OR RN - # Suites: 30 total ORs in department, peds surgery runs 3 to 4 each day. - Average # of cases per day: Dependent on service line. - Required Certifications: BLS - Common Cases: Peds general cases, peds/adult ENT, peds/adult dental, peds urology, peds/adult opthomology, simple peds ortho, peds GI. - Experience or 'Must have' skills: Minimum 2 years experience primary circulating OR cases, preferrable 2 years pediatric circulating experience. - Scrubbing required- RN's: N/A. - Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift?: Primary charge nurse daily. House supervisor 24/7. - OR techs?: 1 RN and 1 ST staffed to each OR and on call. - EMR: Epic. - Shifts & Scheduling: Four 10 hour shifts (0700-1730) Monday through Friday with call shifts for nights, weekends, and holidays. No set day off. We try to maintain no more than 2 Fridays or 2 Mondays off in each 6 week scheduling period for fairness. Self-scheduling is available, however, it will be balanced prior to the schedule being published. - Weekend/Call Requirements: Weekend call (Saturday 0700 through Monday 0700) on a rotation of 1 weekend every 4 weeks. - Holiday/Call Requirements: Holidays are call shift only if pertinent during contract. Would be on call for the 24 hours of the holiday. - What is call response time?: 30 minutes. - Floating Requirements: We float within the department (ortho, neuro, general, cardiac, vascular, SPD) as needed for staffing needs. Typically an "easy" float to help in between rooms or give lunch breaks. - Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital provides scrubs. The scrubs are not to leave the hospital. - Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 days with surgery department educator and then 2- 3 days OR orientation to the department, cases and surgeons.
