Qualifications:

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required; 18 months experience required per general policy 2. Cases: General Surgery, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Plastics, ENT required; Neuro experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred 3. Certifications: BLS required; must be in hand to submit 4. License: IN license required; must be in hand prior to start date 5. Education: University must be accredited by ACEN or CCNE at time of graduation 6. EMR: Cerner preferred; no specific charting required for IU health positions 7. Shifts/Call: 5x8's 7:00-15:30; 4 call shifts per 6 weeks 8. RTO: Can auto-approve 5 days of non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: PERM or PRN employees must be away 12 months before applying as traveler; consecutive contract policy requires designated breaks 10. Travel/Local: IN residents considered local; accepted for Surgical Services at lower rate; 100% floating required 11. Background: Policy noted prior to submission for approval 12. Modules: 40 orientation hours 13. Travel Experience: Yes, required; first time travelers NOT accepted 14. Scrubs: Scrub experience required 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Stealth, DaVinci, ROSA Critical: Level I trauma center experience required. Adult experience OK. Pediatric population includes neonates through adults.
