- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission; must have experience in general, ortho, spine, trauma, and neuro (specifically craniotomies); Level I trauma experience required, but highly skilled clinician with recent Level II trauma experience at like-size or larger facility will be considered 2. Cases: High volume ortho, trauma, spine, craniotomies, and all other specialties; minimal peds; scrubbing is a plus for RN staff 3. Certifications: BLS and ACLS required 4. License: Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid participating compact license required 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner; review specific job posting for details 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12 nights (1900-0700); 30-minute call back time; weekends as needed, usually every 3rd weekend; up to 3 weekend shifts per contract (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) 8. RTO: Unit manager approval required; candidate must work 2 out of 3 holidays (New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day); no RTO during first week of assignment due to orientation; 5 days or less may be auto-approved for ICU, MS/TELE, PCU specialties only if not on a holiday 9. Returning Staff: Previous PERM/PRN/EP staff of Northern Arizona Healthcare must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; must note prior employment in submission packet; facility rehire approval required before any offer can proceed; return travelers who cancelled a previous contract within 10 days of start date at NAH are ineligible to submit 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted; candidates may float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby; must be comfortable floating with no restrictions or special requests 11. Background: Candidates who have lived or worked in GA, NV, NH, MA, Puerto Rico, or Virgin Islands must complete required state releases as soon as possible; international searches not required 12. Modules: All hours are billable; average 6 hours; completed during first week of orientation; recorded by LMS transcripts; lab work required within 72 hours of signing; all testing must be completed within 48 hours (excluding drug screen, which must be completed 30 days prior to start date); compliance documents due Wednesday prior to start 13. Travel Experience: Not specified as required 14. Scrubs: Scrubs are provided for OR RNs 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Not required 16.
