Travel Nurse (RN) OR (Operating Room) Des Moines, IA

$2,228 to $2,478 weekly

Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Local RN – OR 

Shift: Nights / 8:30p-7a, 10×4, 40 hrs/week with rotating day off
Length: 13 weeks

Holiday rotation; No call or weekends

Requirements:

• IA/Compact license
• 2 Years of current operating room experience 
• Experience in the following cases:  General, davinci Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma
• Trauma level II experience
• Circulating / operating room experience
• EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years
• AHA BLS
• Scrub experience highly preferred
• Additional experience in the following cases: (Neurology, orthopedics (primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) highly preferred
• Trauma Level I experience highly preferred

Other Details:

• EMR: EPIC
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 9 mos.
• Special equipment – 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma.  We don’t do many ortho joints
• How many suites – 16 OR’s.  Run from 12-14 routinely.  As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas
• Service lines –  Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants.  We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures
• Patient Types:  see submission requirements
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Bed Size: 16
• Scrubs:  provided
• Avg. caseload – Average 35-50 cases per day.  Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
