- Unit Notes:Unit OR - # of Suites 9 suites with 1 specifically for cardiac - Average # of cases per day 25-30 - Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) "BLS ACLS preferred - "Common Cases 50% ortho - totals, ortho trauma, Mako robot, fractures. Neuro, ortho spine. General procedures, Gyn, ENT, urology. DaVinci robotics. Typically >15 years of age. Trauma - MVCs, rock climbing, bicycle - Experience or 'Must have' skills At least 2 years OR experience. Okay with 1st time traveler if they have at least 2 years OR experience. - Is scrubbing required for RNs? Preferred, not required - Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, there is always a charge. During normal operating hours, charge does not take a case load, evening/weekend charge may have an assignment - OR techs? Yes - EMR Epic - do offer Epic training during onboarding, if needed - Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) "8s, 10s, 12s start at 645a (Prefer 10s; but will depend on facility needs at time of interview/contract)" - Weeknight/Call Requirements 2-3 weeknights in 6-week rotation (11p-7a) - Weekend/Call Requirements 7p Friday in 12Hr increments until 7a Monday - Holiday/Call Requirements On-call per rotation - will fill in gaps where needed - What is call response time? 30mins - Floating Requirements None - Scrub Color/Dress Code Provided - Unit/Department specific orientation Dependent on experience - anywhere from 3 days, up to 2 weeks. Try to orient to each specialty area. Cancellation Policy:1 shift per 2 week pay period Charting System:EPIC BSN Required:False License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level: Care Setting:Acute Division:Nursing Shift Notes:1100-2330 Monday/Tuesday/Thursday. ASAP start date. Call will be required. If they are at the top of the sign up, it is usually 3 weeknight shifts (2245-0645), and 3-4 weekend call shifts (1845-0645 or 0645-1800 Friday night through Monday morning).
