Requirements

- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years minimum required 2. Cases: Medical-surgical patients with oncology history; chemotherapy/biotherapy administration; AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips 3. Certifications: BLS required; ONC CERT required (Chemo ONS/ONCC); must be able to administer chemo; CPI preferred; OCN preferred; must pass EKG testing prior to start 4. License: NC or Compact license; pending OK for submittal 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Epic experience required 7. Shifts/Call: Night shifts; call required if called off on pre-scheduled shift; every other weekend required 8. RTO: Up to 7 days auto-approved (no holidays); must work 2 of 3 major holidays; no RTO during first week; all RTO must be pre-approved; cannot request additional RTO after signing; RTO after booking not allowed 9. Returning Staff: Former Novant/New Hanover employees must wait 12 months before applying; disclosure required with hospital name/dates employed at submission 10. Travel/Local: Local candidates (50 miles) accepted at lower rate; will accept first-time travelers 11. Background: Not specified 12. Modules: Pre-start modules factored into first 24 hours of NBO; Acute Care 8-10 hours; must be completed pre-start and annually; conducted online using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge 13.
