- Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: 2 years required for submission 2. Cases: BMT/Heme/Med Oncology experience preferred; strong Med Surg experience considered; patient diagnoses include Acute Leukemia, Multiple Myeloma, Hematological Diseases, General Medical/Surgical; BMT experience is REQUIRED (hard stop) 3. Certifications: BCLS and ONS Chemo certification required (will also accept ONS "Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration" course certificate — ONS only); OCN and BSN preferred; must be able to administer chemo, manage telemetry, and perform IV starts; accessing/managing ports and interpreting dysrhythmias also required 4. License: DC license accepted as pending but MUST be obtained prior to start date; Aya Paid Open License Project noted 5. Education: BSN preferred 6. EMR: Cerner required 7. Shifts/Call: Rotating Day/Night schedule; every other weekend required (roughly, depending on unit needs); initial schedule based on unit needs; future schedules allow nurse preference with manager balancing; ratio 1:4-5 8.
